The Defender Programmable Wiper Relay upgrade is one of the easiest and most worthwhile modifications you’ll make to your Classic Defender.

The Programmable Wiper Relay replaces the standard wiper relay in your Defender to provide you with a variable time delay on the intermittent wiper setting rather than the fixed wiper interval that the factory-fit Land Rover relay provides.

To operate the Defender Programmable Wiper Relay.

Turn on the intermittent wiper function and then turn the wipers off.

Now wait until you’re ready for the wipers to wipe the screen again. Turn on the intermittent wiper. The relay will now store the wipe interval. The wiper interval will now remain on this setting until you turn off the ignition or you adjust the interval setting using the turn off, wait and then turn on technique.

The Defender Programmable Relay is only compatible with the 300Tdi/Td5/Tdci model Defenders fitted with wiper stalk (PRC7370 or AMR6106) that has the latching intermittent setting.
