All Gobi-X products are designed and manufactured in-house by Gobi-X in South Africa. Parts are produced with CNC laser and bending machines for superior accuracy and consistency. Only certified premium quality steel is used for production. All Gobi-X products undergo a 6-bath pretreatment process, the last of which is a metal phosphate coating to prevent rusting. Finally, a powder coating ensures a superior quality finish and a longer service life.
The wheel carrier is suitable for use as an accessory on the Gobi-X rear bumper for Mercedes Sprinter. The thick pin at the bottom of the wheel holder is fixed in the special bushing integrated in the rear bumper and immediately acts as a pivot point. The gas spring ensures that the wheel holder opens automatically when the double lock is switched off and also serves as a hinge limiter, so that it does not open too far. The spare wheel holder is suitable for standard Sprinter and Sprinter 4x4 tire sizes, but thanks to the adjustable bracket, wider tire sizes will also fit.
The wheel holder is available in left and right-hand variants.
