DFR steering frame reinforcement for Jeep Wrangler JK
The steering system of the Jeep Wrangler is sensitive to the "Death Wobble" or "wobble of death", the risk of suffering an accident is very high.
The possible culprits of the “Death Wobble” are usually the steering damper, the panhard bar, looseness in the steering ball joints, etc ... And the one that professionals think least about, the chassis. Cracks or warps causing a costly breakdown.
The symptoms are usually:
Steering float that makes the steering wheel very sensitive.
Steering imprecision on the highway at high speed.
Traction control activation for no reason at high speed.
Steering wobble when stepping on road bumps.

One of the possible culprits is the excessive flexibility of the chassis, DFR offers you a good solution with a steering chassis reinforcement, a very easy to install kit that does not need to remove the steering box, it only moves away so that it does not disturb when installing the reinforcement .

Installation:

1st We release the panhard bar on the chassis side.
2nd We release the steering bar on the pitman side.
3rd We remove the 4 screws from the steering box and tie it with a flange so that it does not disturb.
4th We check that the chassis is not cracked and we paint to protect.
5th We put the DFR Chassis reinforcement and fasten it with the supplied screws.
6th We relocate the steering box in its new place and we begin to place screws.
7th We give the necessary tightening torque and align the direction, the DFR reinforcement is already mounted.
8º We align direction.
9º after 200 km we retighten all the screws.

The DFR steering frame reinforcements are black, the blue is just to make it look good in the video and for an easy understanding of how it is installed.
