The Blue Smart IP22 charger is the new battery charger from Victron. With integrated Bluetooth you can check the status of your battery remotely. This model is recommended for cars, caravans, motorhomes and boats.

A charger has the function of charging the batteries when they are at a low level of charge.


The Blue Smart IP22 charger can be used in devices both in your workshop and in motor vehicles, as well as (classic) cars, motorcycles, boats and motorhomes.


This single output model has a voltage of 12V and a current of 15 Amps.

The Blue Smart IP22 battery charger is the wireless solution to monitor voltage and current, change settings and update the charger when new features appear.

Victron Blue Smart IP22 chargers are up to 94% efficient, these chargers generate up to four times less heat compared to the industry standard.


And once the battery is fully charged, consumption is reduced to 0.5 watts, five to ten times less than the industry standard.


    6-stage adaptive charging algorithm: check-initial charge-absorption-reconditioning-floatation-storage


The Blue Smart charger features microprocessor-controlled "adaptive" battery management. Its "adaptive" function will automatically optimize the charging process based on battery usage.


    Storage mode: reduced aging and need for maintenance when the battery is not in use.


The storage mode is activated when the battery has not been discharged for 24 hours. In storage mode, the float voltage is reduced to 2.2 V/cell (13.2 V for 12 V batteries) to reduce gassing and corrosion of the positive plates. Once a week, the voltage is brought back up to the absorption level to "equalize" the battery. This function prevents electrolyte stratification and sulfation, the main causes of battery failure.


    Also charges Li-Ion (LiFePO₄) batteries.


LiFePO₄ batteries are charged with a simple initial charge-absorption-float algorithm.


    NIGHT and LOW settings


When NIGHT or LOW modes are active, the output current is reduced to a maximum of 50% of the rated output and the charger will be completely silent. NIGHT mode is automatically terminated after 8 hours. LOW mode can be terminated manually.


    Overheating protection


The output current will be reduced as the temperature rises to 50°C, but the Blue Smart charger will not fail.
