SumoSprings is a suspension component designed to improve load capacity and stabilise roll, resulting in a direct improvement in control and ride comfort. Unlike air springs, they are maintenance-free, do not leak air and do not require compressors or pneumatic installation. The air is encapsulated in the form of millions of micro-cellular bubbles. They are manufactured in a unique and patented micro-cellular urethane formula. Thanks to this material, the desired smooth and progressive response in the suspension is achieved.
In addition, the SumoSprings work in conjunction with the original suspension, sharing the load, helping to prevent spring failure and reducing wear on the original components.
The capacity of SumoSprings varies depending on the height, diameter and density of the unit. The load capacity of a SumoSprings indicates the kilograms or pounds of pressure required to compress the component to 50% of its original size. SumoSprings are available in 3 different densities:
Blue-40 - Aul-40 density retains the most air in the millions of micro-cellular bubbles, creating a response suitable for light-medium loads, or when the vehicle works most of the time unloaded.
Black-47 - Black-47 density balances the amount of urethane and air bubbles to achieve a response suitable for all types of loads, from light to heavy, and is suitable for vehicles that spend half the time loaded and half the time unloaded.
Yellow-54 - Yellow-54 density retains less air inside the material, giving a stiffer response, especially suitable for medium-heavy loads and vehicles that are permanently loaded.
