You all know that our specialty is 4x4 vehicles, but with the fashion of the camper many customers are asking us for solutions to increase the offroad performance of these vans.
Here you can see the Ford in its new habitat, we hope you like this special preparation we have done in Manresa.
This way, the size of the wheels and the ground height impact what we have achieved with this preparation .
We started the preparation by installing a SUSPENSION KIT of +3.5 centimeters more than enough for such a car, with this kit we managed to keep the original shock absorbers.
As the 3.5 centimeters of the suspension kit were scarce for the customer it was decided to install tires with more diameter to gain free height.
These BF GOODRICH KO2 tires are under our experience the best mixed-use tires that exist and one of the few with SNOW certification, so you You can avoid putting chains if you ride in winter with them.
Both mountain and road work very well offering a feeling of safety and very high conford for a mountain tire.
As the idea was to put a bigger wheel it was necessary to get more height, so if you plan to put bigger wheels think that your van will have to be raised a little.
And here you can see how those Ford feel almost +4 centimeters tall:
By installing new wheel spacers of + 3cm on each side we increase the width of tracks and improve both road and mountain stability.
As against having the wheels so flush with body we lose some aerodynamics, which although it is not a virtue in these cars should always be taken into account.
In the back you can see how it has a very high ground height, in the front it is not so noticeable but the improvement is also spectacular.
In the side view you can see that the preparation has been very discreet but the offroad character is very marked.

The side awning is an extra mandatory for any camper fan, in this case I already had it installed.
